Once you book R Spears Photography, one of the first things we’ll do is schedule your bridal portrait! Traditionally, the bridal portrait is done 1-2 months prior to the wedding. After the bridal portrait session, I’ll post your images within 7 days to your private gallery.  Choose your favorite and we’ll make a 16″x20″ print to display at the reception.

Some people have asked me what the purpose of the bridal portrait session is. It stands to reason, that a bridal portrait COULD be taken on the day of the wedding. It depends on how much of a perfectionist you are. If you look closely at these bridal portraits, the light was just the way I wanted it, and I was able to take my time in setting up the shot. I could have taken it the day of the wedding, but everything happens quickly on the wedding day. Most of my brides will display their wedding portrait in their home. I’m sure you want it perfect.

Traditionally, we shoot your bridal portrait at the venue where you’ll be getting married. Realistically, it can be anywhere. A park, a museum, botanical gardens that enhances the portrait. If you’re not sure about the location, I can always suggest some of my favorite locations for bridals. The bridal portrait is included with several of my pricing packages.
