Ivory’s Quinceanera in San Antonio

The forecast called for rain. I really thought it would. So much that I packed my raincoat and boots. It’s rare that everything on the big day goes like clockwork. The makeup and hair girls were on schedule, and on point. The girls were nervous about the dance, and did a little rehearsal in the living room. I could tell they’ve really worked hard on this. The dresses were beautiful, and the tuxedos looked sharp. Everyone looked fabulous and on time. When the stretch Hummer limo arrived on time, we were all ready.

The church mass was beautiful. Ivory was smiling from ear to ear when it was over. We piled into the limo and headed downtown for a photo shoot at Hemisfair park. I laughed when I realized we were one of four Quinceanera groups at the Tower of the Americas. We stood in line to wait to take pictures in front of the fountains. When I ran out of ideas for posing, the birthday girl herself Ivory gave me two good ideas for a group pose.

I want to give a shout-out to the videographer that worked with me during the day. Ryan Bazan was amazing. He was professional, and very polite to everyone. Check his work at Ryanbazan.com

When we arrived at the reception hall, I was blown away by the decorations. The family put in a lot of hours on this very special night. Everything ran smooth, and the kids pulled off the dance like professionals. The music was provided by DJ Play-Doh DJ Play-Doh Website

It was a great night. Thank you to the family of Ivory Hensel for allowing me to photograph your special event.
